Both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are planted on this hill which used to belong to the emperor Charlemagne in the 9th century. The site offers the best panorama over Beaune and all the vineyards over the hills.
Your guide will also be pleased to show you any Grand Cru plot in Chambertin or Montrachet for example.
You will visit Beaune where your guide invites you for a walking tour of the capital city of Burgundy wines. You will visit the ancient house of the dukes of Burgundy from the 14th century. The building is now transformed into the wine museum. You will also reach the underground treasure of Beaune and enjoy a wine tasting in a wine cellar under the city.
